also known as Lisa M. Rau, Judge (Ret.)
Judge Lisa Rau (Ret.) founded Resonate Mediation and Arbitration LLC in December 2019 after serving for over 18 years on the highest state trial court in Philadelphia County, the Court of Common Pleas. After nearly two decades on the bench, Judge Rau saw firsthand that the people who resolved their own civil disputes with the help of a judge mediator and their lawyers were more satisfied with the outcome and could move forward more easily than those who proceeded to combative and risky trials followed by lengthy and expensive appeals. This prompted her to leave the court to focus exclusively on helping people mediate their own disputes. Judge Rau conducts mediations, arbitrations, neutral case analysis and settlement allocation in complex civil cases, in-person and online. She is also a court-appointed special master handling complex discovery disputes.
