Derek Alan Steenson

I had Mr. Steeson in 2014 and he did a great job on my case. I was looking at 1-3 years I sat in jail for 5 months and when I went to court all charges were dropped. He was very firm with the case, he always kept me updated with everything when I called him. He fought for me til the bitter end and I ...couldn’t think him enough! There is not enough space on this review page to say all the good that I would like to say about this Attorney. He is absolutely outstanding. I contacted him through a referral from another attorney for what I believed to be a VOP for my son. I called him on a Saturday morning & received a return ...call by 2:00 that afternoon. After speaking with him on his free time, I hired him. As it turned out, my son needed representation for more than a VOP, he needed to have his probation term in Phila. modified due to outstanding charges that he will be sentenced for in New Jersey. After hearing this attorney's price to represent my son, I will admit I was somewhat skeptical. The reason for that was because the fee he quoted was so fair, it was unbelievable. I am a legal secretary in NJ & if I presented my son's case to an attorney in my area, I would have been charged at least 5 times more than what this attorney charged. Nonetheless, I moved forward with him representing my son & believe me when I tell you this, I couldn't have hired a better attorney. My son was extradited to Philly from New Jersey & after appearing in the Philly Court before one of the toughest Judges, Mr. Steenson was successful in having the probation not modified but completely dismissed with no additional fines and/or court costs. Throughout this entire ordeal, Mr. Steenson was a respectful, professional & caring attorney. He is an excellent criminal defense attorney who answered my millions of panicked calls, emails, texts & any other communication I hit him with within a satisfactory amount of time if not immediately. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field & more than reasonable with his fees. I highly recommend him.

Don't let the fact that he is a new graduate deter you from giving him a call before you consider all the high priced big names out there. I met Derek two years ago on a professional level at my job, through conversation I soon found out he is a defense attorney, long story short, my boyfriend needed... an attorney and I immediately thought of Derek. He has been there in ways that go far beyond our defense attorney and is always there answering questions and keeping me informed. His rates are better than fair and he understands that most people these days are struggling and can't come up with thousands of dollars to hire a "GOOD" attorney. He doesn't sugar coat or tell you what you want to hear, he gives it to you straight and in a timely manner. He works with you to make sure you are informed and represented by someone who cares and knows what he's doing. I have called him on other matters that had nothing to do with his specialty and he always knows what to do or who you should talk to, I couldn't imagine calling anyone else for any of my legal needs. Derek may not have 20 years under his belt but he knows what he's doing and works hard to get the job done.
