Dafan Zhang

Dafan is an Ivy League educated attorney who practiced at one of the world's most prestigious law firms prior to starting his own boutique law firm. Dafan's practice focuses on business, intellectual property and patent litigation. He started his career on Wall Street in New York City, representing elite global financial institutions and leading corporations. Dafan’s diverse skill set allows him to represent his clients in a number of practice areas.

Prior to and concurrent to practicing law, Dafan has been a web/mobile/software developer for over 20 years. Dafan is well accomplished in the technology field, having been a pioneer in mobile data systems, web applications, and media systems. Dafan is also an inventor of multiple technological inventions, including an Internet-based mobile data aggregation system in the 1990’s.

Dafan received his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. While at Penn, he also earned a Business Economy & Public Policy certificate from the Wharton Business School. Prior to that, Dafan graduated first in his class with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from West Chester University.

Besides his professional and educational achievements, Dafan has also proven his drive, determination, and resilience on the journey of life, having overcome tremendous challenges before reaching success.

Dafan is very engaged in the community. Having experienced the struggles, he is determined to give back so others may achieve their potential. He enjoys providing small business workshops with several non-profit organizations and representing pro bono clients. He is also heavily engaged in the policy process, including running for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2014.

Dafan was also a nationally recognized professional motorcycle racer in his past life. Although no longer actively racing, Dafan frequently compares racing to the practice of law, where thorough preparation, sheer determination, and a dash of aggressiveness can yield the best results. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, golf, traveling, learning new things and developing new ideas.
