Robert Francis Kelly Jr.

Upon graduation from Boston College, I served as a law clerk for a Judge in the Superior Court of Pennsylvania and later interned for the Law Firm of McAllister & Gallagher, aiding the partners and the associates in all aspects of litigation while attending Villanova Law School.  In Law School I was selected to the Moot Court Honor Society.

After graduation from law school, I joined the firm of Holsten & Associates and have practiced primarily in the area of Workers' Compensation, handling hundreds of cases up through the Appellate level.  I have argued a number of times before the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.  Many of the issues which I presented with regard to Workers' Compensation have become published case law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  I am also the supervising attorney for the associates who handle Workers’ Compensation cases. I have experience handling every possible issue that could arise in the diverse and interesting field of Workers' Compensation.   I have also handled some of the firm’s general liability matters, including cases involving Uninsured and Underinsured Motor Vehicle issues.

I have also been a speaker at numerous continuing legal education seminars through the Delaware County Bar Association on many diverse topics within the field of Workers’ Compensation and related issues such as The Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Financial Responsibility Act, The Pennsylvania Heart & Lung Act and The Family Medical Leave Act.

I serve on many committees of the Delaware County Bar Association, such as the Workers’ Compensation Committee, the Law Day Committee, the Civil Continuing Legal Education Committee, the Arbitration Committee and the Judicial Selection and Retention Committee.   I am an officer and past President of the Guy. G. deFuria American Inn of Court and is a Co-Chairman of the Delaware County By-Laws Committee along with being on the Board of Directors of the Delaware County Bar Association.  I am an active participant in local politics as well as a number of law related organizations, including the Brehon Law Society of Philadelphia, of which I currently serve on the Board of Directors and the Alumni Awards Committee of the Villanova University School of Law. I am a past member of the Law School’s Alumni Board of Directors
