Worst lawyer ever!

Where should I start this lady is just awful. I paid $300 for the office consultation where she explained how and what she could do for me in court. I agreed she made it seem like it was a easy case for her. The fee was $1500.00 I said OK. Before the court hearing I had already dropped off my file in... her off which I provided her with proof, text messages, pictures of the other party it meant nothing she never went over anything. The day of the court case she preceeded to tell me I have no case and started talking to me very disrespectful and loud in the lobby. I was furious I didn't understand why would you wait till the day of court and not tell me when I first presented you with everything I had at the 1 hour consultation for $300.00. It's so much I could say honestly she is a liar who will promise you the world until she gets your money and then things change. I never had an lawyer this terrible, rude, and just down right a crook. THE WORST LAWYER EVER! Don't hire her and look elsewhere! I don't right reviews but I was compelled too never have I ever experienced anything like this!

Beware of Lawyer trying to Negotiate your life!

I am not one to write reviews and this is actually my first one, but I felt obligated to let people know not to waste their money. I spent $4,100 in 2 and 1/2 months letting Barbara Stein represent me and we got no where. I trusted her for advice to lead me in the correct direction with getting sol...e custody of my 2 year old child and to protect me from my abusive husband. She convinced me to take my 2 year old child off my PFA and for me to withdraw the PFA after 90 days. I should have represented myself at the PFA hearing because I would of been better off and probably would of been granted a PFA for at least 1 year. She always seemed too busy when I called her with my concerns on how supervised visits were going with my 2 year old child. She told me that 3rd parties didn't exist anymore to do the supervised visits, so I am stuck with his family members. I don't trust them, they aren't being civil, and they refuse to tell me where they are taking my child. I was trying to fight the appointed supervisors at the PFA hearing, but she convinced me to do it. It's like Barbara Stein is working with the other side and I felt like a big negotiation to her. This is people's lives she is dealing with and a 2 year old's safety, so now I am stuck with an alcoholic father who still drinks and drives with his son in the car and he's supervised by his family who don't speak up to him and allow him to do this. I wish I had someone to warn me about her before I wasted my hard earned money. I am a single mom who wasn't receiving any type of support for over two months and I had Barbara charging me $300/hour for continuances. I had to hire new representation and I asked Barbara for a final bill and she was overcharging me for hours that we weren't even together. I should have received some of my money back for unused services, but I did not. She is not an aggressive attorney at all and I felt like she didn't even prepare for our case before court. Please don't waste your time nor money! Your better off defending yourself!

absolutely horrible!

Waste of time and money...doesn't care about you and makes everything out to be your fault! You should just hire her assistant Maria because she is the one who knows more about your case than your so called hired attorney! Doesn't do anything in a timely matter and leaves all paperwork up to opposing... counsel! Go with a big firm that has multiple lawyers that actually represent you cause you will pay the same amount of money and will definitely get better results! It's a crime how this lady is in business!
