I retained Mr. Garzia to prepare a non-provisional patent application. His professional service charge to prepare the application was less than $3,500. The current rate at most law firms in the Philadelphia area is about $6,000. Mr. Garzia reported all Patent Office communications within a week. I u...nderstand that, as a sole practitioner, Mr. Garzia was not always "immediately" available, but he almost always got back to me the same day (even if it was a quick email explaining that he was out of the office). It is refreshing that Mr. Garzia does not charge for most short telephone calls.
