Started As My Lawyer/Ended As My Friend

I literally walked into Kristine's office 12 yrs ago clutching the separation agreement my lawyer husband had written up and insisted I sign before any child support was paid.I was broke but not desperate enough to sign anything my ex had written up without advice. He was a new lawyer who was convince...d he was a legal genius (which he still thinks, all evidence to the contrary).Kristine took one look at the first page of this agreement and burst out laughing and hugged me and said she would protect me and my boys and she has done just that.the first time he was in a courtroom was against Kristine and it didn't go well for him.since then, she has gone up countless times against my ex who still insists on representing himself-even when he married another lawyer who joined him in his quest to destroy us..Kristine has won almost every battle my ex started, whether they are big battles or tiny ones (I filed against him only twice compared to my ex approx 50 motions).my divorce started funny- he wanted an annulment of our 7 yr marriage due to fraud-I lied about being a tramp in order to marry someone I thought would be a successful lawyer even though he was in college when we met (annulment denied) but it got unfunny as years went by.my ex has filed complaints against me for everything from $ to custody and because of Kristine,my boys and I have gotten through it together and with sanity mostly intact.if you are divorcing your ex who is a lawyer who then goes on to marry another lawyer,Kristine is who you want by your side. Kristine made the mistake of giving me her cell early on and always is available if we need her -that includes once or twice when I didn't know she was on vacation and we had an emergency-even from DisneyWorld, she was there for my family.kristines rates are more than reasonable. She never drags out cases in order to over bill. She is great about getting me info I need ASAP and explaining things to me in a non lawyer way so I understand and can make an informed decision. Her paralegal Pam is another bonus to working with Kristine-they both work hard and they never make me feel I am not important to them.Pam is just as informed as Kristine is about my case,so I trust her implicitly as well.in my situation,my ex attempts to use the law to frighten and bully me-Kristine never lets me feel like I am alone and when you are in front of a judge and going through the humiliation of having personal things made public to strangers or the terror of a custody fight, the most important thing is to know you aren't alone and someone is on your side..I can't imagine going through all I've been forced to go through without Kristine next to me in that courtroom. The only thing greater than her kindness is her knowledge of the law and fighting for what's fair and right.I know without her,my life would be much different and I am incredibly lucky that I moved down the street from her office and went in asking for her opinion that day so long ago.I owe her my kids security and happiness and my own sanity.Did I mention that if you're lucky you can also get an invite to Friday Happy Hour? Its the final reason why you would be lucky to have Kristine and Pam working with you-they understand that sometimes the best action is to put the stress aside for a few minutes, have a good laugh,a big hug and a weird warm vodka drink they insist is great. They care enough about their clients to make them friends-and in that awful scary place that legal troubles can put you in,a friend is a great thing to have.

Great lawyer

Kristine handled my divorce perfectly. She explained everything to me, told me when I was being unrealistic and encouraged me to see everything through to the end. It always worked out just like she told me.

Domestic Divorce

I think Kristine Michael was an excellent attorney in my domestic matter, she always returned my calls, took the time to answer my questions and she explained everything to me so that I would understand it properly. She handled my situation as if it was her own and would not settle for anything less... than what she thought was best for me. I would highly recommend her to anyone I know.
