Melissa Justine Cantwell

Melissa has been my attorney since my children have been about 6 months old and I am SOOO GRATEFUL that I found her!! I most recently needed her services again a few weeks ago and she never disappoints!! She has ALWAYS been honest, knowledgeable, upfront, compassionate, and never have I reached out t...o her office and not heard back from her with answers to my questions. I, like many, probably wish we didn't have to go through support and other issues but I can say from my personal experiences with her that I would NEVER set foot in court without her! She has fought for my children like she is part of our family. I trust her guidance and gentle but extremely firm and knowledgeable approach with the various situations that we have been faced with. All I can say is 10 STARS I would recommend her to anyone needing help no matter how big or small there isn't anything she can't handle! She will forever be a part of my family and I am ETERNALLY GRATEFUL!!!

Melissa was recommended to me by a friend to do legal paperwork my father needed when he was very ill (will, living will, POA). She was so kind and accommodating, meeting us at his rehab facility to go over exactly what he needed his documents to say. She was very patient and thorough, and explained ...what everything meant in real-life scenarios. She also dropped the documents off at my father’s house when they were completed. My wife and I also hired Melissa to do our wills. Again, she was very thorough and addressed all of our concerns. As a member of the LBGT community, it’s rare to find a professional (doctor, attorney, etc) who is aware and thoughtful enough to confirm that terms and pronouns are being used correctly, and Melissa did that during our meeting (this is a HUGE deal and much appreciated). Melissa has a notary and witness on site, so we were able to have everything notarized at her office, and she presented the paperwork to us organized in a folder with her contact info. We also found Melissa’s fees to be very reasonable and affordable, which was especially appreciated by my father who is on a retiree’s income. Melissa comes very highly recommended!

Needless to say, my case involved multiple complexities and a very contentious situation. Melissa guided me every step of the way and helped my son get the time he needs with his dad. He's much better off and I'm much happier and incredibly grateful. There also was a support adjustment, which was mo...re straightforward and we were able to resolve at conference instead of dragging anything out and costing more. Melissa is extremely fair with her fees and has a business model to keep her overhead low so she can pass those savings into clients. That was a big help too. Most of all, she is very compassionate and genuinely kind. Anyone facing a divorce or support situation will be in the best of hands if Melissa's.
