Lawrence R. Scheetz Jr.

I am a partner at the Law Offices of Williams & Scheetz.  My main areas of practice include Personal Injury, Contract Law, Insurance Law, Estate Planning and Wills, Forming and Advising Small Businesses and PennDOT License Appeals.

I concentrate my Personal Injury practice on auto accidents, pedestrian accidents, slip and falls, wrongful death matters, traumatic brain injuries caused by negligence, dog bite injuries, salon negligence and individual negligence in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. I have a  proven record of success in resolving and litigating these types of personal injury cases and have obtained millions of dollars for my clients.  I am a passionate advocate who never stops fighting for the best interests of my clients from the initial consultation to the conclusion of the case.

In addition to my civil litigation practice, I am frequently appointed as an arbitrator for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania to assist attorneys and parties in resolving civil matters.  I also serve as an arbitrator for the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas.

Prior to joining the Law Offices of Williams & Scheetz, I was a Litigation Associate with Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP.  My practice focused on a broad range of contract and insurance issues for national and international clients, with particular attention to issues involving the secondary market for life insurance, family trusts, premium financing, and insurance claim disputes. I also represented and advised clients in an array of commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract, employment-related disputes and regulatory issues. My commercial litigation practice was conducted in both state and federal court and before regulators, arbitrators and judges.

I joined Drinker Biddle following a federal judicial clerkship with Chief Justice Lawrence F. Stengel in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. As a federal clerk, I managed a full docket of cases through initial pleadings, Rule 16 and pre-trial conferences, jury selection, motion hearings, and both civil and criminal trials. I also assisted the Court in drafting opinions on issues regarding contract disputes, employment discrimination, insurance claims, First Amendment violations and prisoner civil rights violations.

I graduated from Temple University Beasley School of Law, where I was a staff member of the Political and Civil Rights Law Review and was awarded the Distinguished Class Performance Award in both Trial Advocacy I and II.  I graduated from Bucknell University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in economics, with honors.  At Bucknell University, I was a Verizon Academic All-American baseball player. I am also a proud graduate Holy Ghost Preparatory School.

I am currently an active member of the Bucks County Community, professionally and socially. As a member of the Bucks County Bar Association, I serve as the Treasurer of the Executive Board, am the past President of the Young Lawyers Division and recently reestablished the Solo and Small Practice Section of the Bucks County Bar Association.  I serve on the Board of Trustees of Holy Ghost Preparatory School and am the Past President of the Holy Ghost Preparatory School Alumni Association.  In addition, I volunteer my time as a youth basketball and baseball coach at the Central Bucks YMCA.

I am admitted to practice law in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Supreme Court of New Jersey and the United States District Court of New Jersey.
