Automobile accident in which Plaintiff Burgess alleged injuries to her neck and back, specifically herniations at the C3-4 and L1-2 levels of her spine. Plaintiff refused medical attention at the scen ... e of the accident and did not receive any treatments for the alleged injuries until three days after the accident, commencing a two and a half month course of physical therapy. Despite seeing a pain management specialist, who recommended EMG/NCV testing and epidural steroid injections, Plaintiff refused to receive either. Defense expert found Plaintiff's subject complaints to be related to age-related degenerative disc disease.

Damages were stipulated between the parties, with liability being the sole issue for the jury to decide. While Defendant was driving a vehicle in a motorcade. Plaintiff stopped Defendant from drivin ... g through the intersection by standing in front of the vehicle so that an opposing political opponent's motorcade could cross through the intersection first. Plaintiff alleged that Defendant proceeded to step on the accelerator and strike Plaintiff. Without any evidence to support Plaintiff's version, the jury returned a 6-0 verdict in Defendant's favor.
