Willey and Goldberg were engaged in disputed family law proceedings following their divorce. The trial court found that Goldberg deliberately withheld information about his assets. As a sanction, the ... court struck all of Goldberg's pleadings concerning his assets and refused to accept any further pleadings from him on that issue. Goldberg appealed. The Court of Appeals ruled in favor of Willey, and ordered Goldberg to pay her attorney fees.
