Conflict of interest
Unless you want to pay for an attorney that is working against you, after finding out there is a conflict of interest with the other parties attorney , I realized I was paying to be deceived.

Replied last February 17, 2026I can say that I have never ever represented a client when I had a conflict of interest, nor did I do so in this case. I withdrew as her counsel because she became belligerent with me and hung up on me as it made it impossible to continue my representation of her. Since then she has gone on a rampage and has made numerous false and defamatory statements against me and her behavior is out of control. I just hope she gets the help that she needs.

Not impressed
Ok, I hired Lori Bowen for a divorce. So far I have spent around $2500 and have seen nothing much but a mailed letter (divorce agreement) and a letter to the courts for divorce. She charges for alot of things that other lawyers do not. If to be ex wifes attorney calls or emails Lori, I pay for it. $2...

Replied last August 31, 2019Unfortunately when this particular client came to me he told me that everything was agreed to between him and his wife so I charged a lower retainer. That was not to be as his wife would not agree to the terms he wanted. Thus, more work and more money was involved. He receives monthly bills and has never once questioned any entry on my itemized bill. He has not abided by the terms of his fee agreement which allows me to withdraw as his attorney but as of this date, I have not.

Replied last December 04, 2017I've been in practice since 1991 and had my own office since 1998. Since that time I can only find one Jeff for whom I handled a divorce, which was back in 2008. If that review is from him, I can say that he never expressed any problems or concerns with me. He also entered into a voluntary Agreement with his wife to resolve all issues. While I realize that I cannot make 100% of the people happy 100% of the time, I can only say that the majority of my clients come to me from prior client recommendations and other lawyers. If any client I represent has any issues whatsoever with how I am handling their case, I welcome them to address it with me immediately. I cannot fix something if I am not made aware of it.
