Honduran national charged with Class D Felony of Vehicular Manslaughter in traffic accident death of U.S. Citizen. Client was turning left when on-coming motorcyclist collided with front right fender o ... f pickup truck and was killed. Client had no alcohol or drugs in his system. Motorcyclist had marijuana in his system. The Prosecutors argued our client turned left when he should have yielded to the motorcyclist. We argued our client had a green arrow and thus the right-of-way, and that accordingly, the motorcyclist had a red light which he ran. After a several-day jury trial, the jury found our client INNOCENT of Manslaughter.

OUTCOME: Found INNOCENT of ALL CHARGES
Defendant was initally charged with 22 counts of various sex crimes against 9 child victims. Jury found him INNOCENT of all but 5 misdemeanors. I handled the Appeal and convinced the Court of Appeals ... to throw out 1 of the convictions entirely because there was no evidence Defendant had committed any crime, and to overturn the remaining misdemeanor convictions because the Trial Judge gave the wrong Jury Instructions to the Jury, even though the defense lawyers told the Trial Judge he was using the wrong Jury Instructions. I second chaired the 2nd trial at which the Jury Acquitted Defendant of ALL remaining charges.
OUTCOME: Court of Appeals Affirmed, Supreme Court denied Cert.
