OUTCOME: Plaintiff's Verdict

Our firm represented a young woman who was sexually assaulted by a male friend while studying in his basement. The young man's parents were in the home at the time of the assault. The local prosecuto ... r refused to prosecute a criminal case against the young man. Nevertheless, after a five day trial in the civil matter, a St. Charles County jury returned a verdict in favor of our client and against the young man and his parents for $115,000.

OUTCOME: Remand for Trial

This case follows a collision occuring during the course of a high-speed vehicular pursuit of a criminal suspect in Farmington, Missouri. Our firm represents the family of a woman, her grandmother and ... two children injured in the pursuit. The woman and grandmother died as the result of the injuries each sustained. Following summary judgment, we successfully petitioned the Missouri Supreme Court to remand the case back to the trial court for jury trial. We continue to await a date for jury trial.
