Plaintiff brought declaratory judgment action against defendant, alleging defendant had publish ... ed numerous defamatory statements about plaintiff concerning the death of plaintiff's niece, and also sought injunctive relief. Plaintiff served Defendant by an email. The Circuit Court, entered a default judgment against defendant, and denied his motion to set aside. Defendant appealed. The Arkansas Supreme Court held that alternative service of process by e-mail was insufficient to afford defendant due process.
