William Austin Watkins

I have known Attorney Watkins for awhile and he represented me on both of my cases. He is very intelligent and caring. He put my mind at ease from the very beginning and kept me up to date with everything that was going on. if you are looking for someone who is looking for your best interest, and wi...lling to listen and guide you through your worries during a difficult situation I would highly recommend him. He was knowledgable and has a good relationship with the courts. Attorney Watkins is always available to talk and overall I rate him a 10 out of 10.

Attorney Watkins handled my custody hearing. He is not like other attorneys I have dealt with, he truly cared about my children's best interest (and mine of course). He had great suggestions for my situation. We met before my hearing started, I was nervous, but his knowledge and caring personality ...helped put my nerves at ease. He informed me of all the possible situations that could happen and what my options would be. He also made an effort to make my children feel better about having to sit in a courthouse. I could not be happier with choosing Attorney Watkins to represent me.

About a year and a half ago I was drinking too much and got into a physical fight with my husband (who was also drinking too much) I assaulted him with a weapon bc I was scared but I had done this once before so I was looking at some jail time. My husband filed for divorce and pressed assault with a ...knife charges against me. Attorney Watkins was able to get me probation and no jail time! I couldn't believe it! Then he handled my divorce for me too. I called the office all the time bc I was so upset. His secretary talked to me most of the time but they kept me informed. I was very lucky that he's not one of those attorneys who charges for phone calls bc I called there at least twice a week! It is hard to reach him by phone bc he's really busy. Apparently Monroe County has him hired as an attorney for children and also as a public defender. I dont think the county would have him do those jobs if he wasnt a very good lawyer. I was able to make appointments to see him when I needed to so it was okay if I couldnt talk to him on the phone. He is the only lawyer I've found that doesn't rip you off with money and he even helped me to find a place to go so I could stop drinking. My divorce is final and I didn't have to go to jail for the problem with my ex-husband. I stopped drinking and was able to pay him without spending thousands and thousands of dollars. I am writing this bc I was mad when I saw what the other people wrote. When I went to him I asked him if he could keep me out of jail and he said he couldnt promise me that and he would never promise anyone that they wont go to jail bc he doesnt know what the judge will decide. So I dont believe that he told that other person they wouldnt go to jail. He probably said he would do the best he could to try to keep them out of jail and sometimes there is just no way to avoid it. Mr. Watkins is very kind and very fair. He's also really funny and helped me to get through a really bad time in my life. I would highly recommend him as an attorney.
