Excellent Divorce Attorney

Michelle was my attorney for custody, support, and divorce legal processes. She was very knowledgeable in all aspects and provided a personal touch to a process that is very difficult. Michelle understands the ins and outs extensively and provided a personal touch when dealing with an X-spouse who wa...s far from reasonable and logical at many times. I highly recommend Michelle!!

Exactly the Lawyer I needed

I cannot be more pleased with my experience with the Fisher and Fisher Law firm. Michelle Farley is EXACTLY what I wanted and needed in a lawyer. I had very specific reasons for hiring Michelle over all the attorneys I initially screened (about 4 others). 1) Most importantly, I got the impressio...n she understood my case and really cared about the outcome of the case. While I don't want anyone to take on the burden of stress my case inherently brings with it, I value the idea that my attorney feels empathy towards me, my daughter, and the struggles we've been through over the course of this case. 2) She is serious. When I say this, I mean that she does not come across as brash or impulsive. I don't need a cowboy in court. One of the other guys I consulted with really had a let me at em attitude, and while I appreciated his vigor, I need a lawyer that mostly shares my temperament and can be more of a balanced person when I am losing my patience. I used to think...and I was often told that I must have an infinite well of patience. The last 4 years have depleted that almost completely and my reserves are in a critical state. 3) Michelle was by far the most professional lawyer I encountered. When I say professional, I am not talking about a cut-throat, win-at-all-costs kind of lawyer. I mean she was organized and gave it to me straight without being overly optimistic or pessimistic (The first lawyer I visited almost had me convinced I was absolutely screwed in local courts and wouldn't get justice until we were on Capitol Hill). I dealt with the cut-throat lawyer types on the opposing side and while the well-being of my daughter and my rights as a father are of the utmost importance to me, I wanted to fight my fight in court without resorting to making up malicious lies and slander. I need to win with integrity. I hired Michelle to be the experienced guide through the Monroe County court system. All of my experience in court had been in Adams County, and I understood that every jurisdiction is different and ever judge is different. I chose Michelle and still utilize Michelle, because I trust her. I needed help fighting my fight, because I am not equipped to do it on my own. If there is a way to prove my case in court, I trust the Michelle would do the research to find it and would tell me...or reign me in when I am hot-headed and asking the impossible. I am not one to jump from lawyer to lawyer. I need to build a relationship with my lawyer. My relationship with Fisher and Fisher (Michelle Farley) is solid and growing stronger every time I need counsel. I cannot recommend her and her firm highly enough.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
