Tyler Robert Donato

Tyler Donato is an associate in the Saxton & Stump Intellectual Property and Intellectual Property Litigation groups, based in the firm’s Lehigh Valley office. He works with businesses to protect, manage, and enforce intellectual property assets that support innovation, commercialization, and long-term growth.

Drawing on his experience at multiple IP boutiques in the Philadelphia region, Tyler advises businesses on building, maintaining, and enforcing IP portfolios aligned with their strategic objectives. He joined Saxton & Stump following his work at Design IP, a Lehigh Valley intellectual property firm with a worldwide reputation in design patent law that has since been integrated into Saxton & Stump. There, he supported clients across a wide range of industries with a focus on design-driven innovation.

His practice includes preparing and prosecuting utility and design patents, as well as trademarks; advising clients on patentability and trademark registrability; conducting freedom-to-operate analyses; and investigating potential infringement matters. He also coordinates with foreign associates to manage global patent and trademark portfolios, and works closely with clients to develop and implement practical, cost-effective intellectual property strategies. In addition, Tyler provides pro bono intellectual property counsel to local artists, supporting creative communities throughout the region.

Tyler received his law degree from the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law and earned his B.S. in physics from Rowan University.
