The plan was to present evidence of a previous sexual relationship between client and victim and focus on equities of the case. Case Strategy : The main focus of the defense was case equities and a legal challenge to the abduction based on current case law. RESULT : Case amended to Simple Assault and Battery with no active jail, supervised probation and general good behavior. Attorney Bose's former experience as a police officer helped pave way for the defense and opened communication lines with both the prosecutor and the SVU (special victim's unit) detective assigned to the case.
