The Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District, certified for publication their opinion in the matter of Costello vs. Buckley [4th Appellate Case Number D068536]. In affirming the lower Court's order r ... egarding the disqualification of Buckley's attorney for conflict of interest, the Appellate Court agreed with my argument that an attorney who previously represents a client may have acquired confidential information and that information could be used against her. I am very pleased with the Appellate Court's decision and pleased the Court decided this case deserves publication. This case reinforces the commitment of the Court to uphold the public's demand for integrity in our judicial system and I m happy to contribute precedent for future cases.

In a real estate land contract case my clients faced foreclosure on their land although they had completely performed their contractual obligations. The seller of the land had also purchased on a land ... contract and failed to perform providing the basis for the foreclosure. I successfully moved the Court for a TRO to enjoin the foreclosure. In settlement, my clients not only obtained clear title but recovered their attorney fees as well
