OUTCOME: Not Guilty verdict

I represented a young woman charged with murder. She was on her own property when she was attacked by a neighbor about an ongong dispute. My client defended herself and unfortunately the neighbor was k ... illed. The State charged my client with murder. We mounted a stand-your-ground defense, and at trial we built our case on the testimony of witnesses and by describing the scene and the exhibits as proof that my client was acting in self-defense. The jury agreed and found my client Not Guilty of murder. State v. Amber Long.
