My elderly client was a passenger in a severe collision on the I-35 frontage road in Hays County. For nearly two years she suffered with debilitating shoulder pain. Because of her remote and rural re ... sidence and her fixed income, it was difficult for her to seek treatment. Consequently she did not obtain an MRI showing the tears to her shoulder and the necessary surgery for almost two years after the collision. The insurance company denied her claim, arguing she had waited too long to get treatment. My client then obtained my office's services and we filed suit. After a two day trial that we won, the jury awarded us all her medical bills, lost income, and pain and impairment.
