Jonathan L. DeWald focuses his practice in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, asset protection, and elder law. He is an accredited attorney with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.
Jonathan received his law degree from the Penn State University’s Dickinson School of Law in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. While in law school, he served as the Managing Editor of thePenn State Law Review. Jonathan authored scholarship on surrogate decision making in Pennsylvania that was published in the Penn State Law Review and subsequently acknowledged by another legal journal as one of the most important and timely articles in 2011. In addition, Jonathan was a certified legal intern at the school’s Elder Protection Clinic, where he provided free legal services to clients of the clinic.
Jonathan graduated from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. As a member of the Richmond Spiders football team, he was an Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference athlete while also serving on the university’s honor council.
Jonathan currently serves on the Board of Directors for North Central Sight Services, Inc. and The Dickinson School of Law Alumni Society. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Lycoming Law Association, and the Charles F. Greevy, Jr. American Inn of Court.
