State of Texas vs. Client
N/AOUTCOME: Dismissal by judge.
Client was on a motorbike on a rural country road (including a portion that was a dirt road). There was a Sheriff's car up ahead, and the Sheriff stuck his hand out the window to signal Client to stop ... . Since this was out in the country, Client thought the Sheriff was waving to him, so he waved back. Sheriff stopped and arrested Client for DWI. Judge said "the Sheriff's officer did not have probable cause to stop Client, even though the officer's in-car camera clearly showed that Client was under the influence." Judge dismissed the case.
