DUI driver killed Bailey Sloan in a car crash. Bailey Sloan's parents sued the DUI driver for wrongful death. The case was tried in front of a jury in San Bernardino California in July 2013.

Robert and Lillie created a Trust and funded it with their home. Lillie died. Several years later Robert met Sally and they began to date. Thereafter, Robert transferred a home owned by the Trust to Sa ... lly. Shortly thereafter, Robert died. Issue: Did Robert have the right to transfer the home out of the Trust to Sally, which effectively disinherited the Trust's beneficiaries? The Trial Court ruled that Robert did not have the power to transfer the property out of the Trust, because the Trust became irrevocable on Lillie's (the first spouse's) death. Sally appealled the Trial Court's decision. We took the case on appeal and defended the Trust's beneficiaries. The Court of Appeal agreed with us and affirmed the Trial Court's decision.
