Wendy Chan

Mrs. Chan is a REMARKABLE attorney. She is hands down, the BEST attorney if you are a FATHER seeking more than the 18% of time most attorneys get men. She has a passion for Family Law that far exceeds the several other attorneys I have come across in this realm. Mrs. Chan's desires to get EQUAL cu...stody and promote Fathers being involved in their children's life unequivocally surpasses the most "experienced" attorneys in the field. She is honest, caring, trustworthy, and sincerely cares about building a family for your and your child(ren) even though you are going through the process of separation or divorce. I HIGHLY recommend Mrs. Chan, and as a matter of fact, can not think of anyone else in her league to recommend when it comes to Family Law matters. If you want to spend time with your child, you can't go wrong hiring her. She understands the importance of litigation, is always prepared for court, conducts herself professionally and will not sell you out behind closed doors as other attorneys have done to me. She is not afraid to challenge the "system" and relentlessly pursues custody of your child so that you can remain in your child's life and be there for them more than 1 night a week and every other weekend. If you do not have an attorney, HIRE her, and if you do have an attorney, FIRE the one you have and obtain her. I got burned by someone who claimed to be a "Father's Rights" attorney only to have Mrs. Chan clean up the mess I was left with. In all reality, if it weren't for her...my 20 month old daughter would be calling someone else "daddy."

Wendy is a very nice and thoughtful lawyer. The problem is that she does not have the back of the office support and time to individualize the needs of her clients. During my time as her client several very important deadlines and commitments were missed due to errors from her office. I even missed a... court hearing once because she was on vacation and her office missed the appropriate paperwork. I am sure she is competent in most matters but if your case goes beyond something simple I would highly advise seeking legal counsel elsewhere.

I hired her paying $8k retainer, she charges the same prices like upper Manhattan lawyers while the quality of service is just like any other deadbeat lawyer! She destroyed my case beyond repair. Consulted for a criminal matter and she gave such bad advice I had to ask her if she was a former prosecutor. Her advice was to "just plead guilty". Paid her her fee, represented myself, and was acquitted. Then I learned of her "ethical" challenges through a simple online search. Very strange woman a...nd shameless self-promoter. Ughhh.

Gave terrible advice for child custody I only hired her for short time. I lost all right to see my children from this lawyer her advice to a custody hearing fir me was not to come to hearing. I promptly fired her then and was going to go to bar association to report her. Terrible advice for someone w...ho is a lawyer. Stay clear of her if you want good results!!!
