Horrible Lawyer

I used Paul Zimmerman for my child custody case and he took over $4000 grand from me and did NOTHING!!!!!!!!!! Then because he required ANOTHER $4000 grand and I could not pay it up front he dropped my case. He appeared in court ONE time on my behalf all for of about 45 minutes. That is what cost me ...so much money?? Then when I would try to contact him he would never return my calls. And says I never contacted him. Because of him I lost my son because I had no lawyer at my custody case because all he cares about is THE MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Once I finally came in contact with him again he refused to represent me and when I asked for my files I got nothing but an attitude about it, like it was a waste of his time. I do not recommend this guy if you want your child!!!! If it wasn't for him I would have my child and none of this nightmare I am going through would have happened! DO NOT HIRE HIM!!!!!!!! Not if you want your children anyway.

Mild to moderately cognitively delayed

I felt like I was dealing with someone lacking an ability to form long-term memories. Each time we spoke, I had to repeat all the details I had already provided "in writining" and discussed more than twice. Basically get ready to pay 3-4 times for what should be done much more efficiently

Terrible experience

Paul Zimmerman is the worst. He said the $1200 retainer would take my girlfriend through to the start of a custody trial and then he gave us a bill for an additional $1200 (for a total of $2400) and said he wanted that and an additional $3500 up front before the trial began which would be fine EXCEPT... he didn't do his job. He never listened to a word we said, constantly gave the courts wrong information and charged for everything he did (even tasks he repeated because he either made errors). He would call my phone and leave a message and then immediately call my girlfriend's phone and leave a message and charge $75 for EACH message! How about you stop leaving two messages within a minute of each other? Idiot. He was also responsible for typing up a letter for witnesses to sign and got every single detail wrong, NEVER actually mailed them out and then charged $150 each for mailing them. How can you charge for something you didn't do? I've never met a more incompetent lawyer in my entire life. I can't speak on the other lawyers but avoid Paul Zimmerman at all costs.

Terrible Attorney

If you are a Father and want to see your child, I suggest HIGHLY that you do not obtain Paul Zimmerman as your attorney, He claims that he is experienced in the field of Family Law, however, he will sell you the bottom of the ladder in the very beginning of your custody case so you have to continual...ly pay him to have any sort of prosperous relationship with your child. In addition, he will sit and explain strategy to you in his office and then go into court and forget what he was supposed to say. To give you an example, it took me over a year to get "overnights" with my child and the thing is, is that Paul didn't even get them for me. I got them the following week after I fired Paul going into court by myself. It's strictly your call whether you hire him or not but I would even suggest that if you have him on retainer to eat your money and RUN! Don't let this guy represent you in court. You will lose valuable time with your child(ren) and he won't care. Also, the funny thing about this guy is that if you talk to him, he knows exactly how much money you owe him yet he can't remember any specific details of your case. Figure that one out for yourself.
