Jozefa Kristina Jackson

Jozefa has been my attorney for years. I recently needed to hire her again which resulted in a custody hearing, and she is currently preparing for my support appeal next week. I normally do not write reviews. I feel a person or product should stand on their own merit. That being said, I felt I n...eeded to write this one because I happened to see the negative review written a couple weeks ago. My experience with Jozefa, historically and over the last few months while preparing for my custody hearing and this month preparing for my complex support appeal hearing, have been nothing but positive. She has never over-charged me, and has spent untold hours preparing for my cases. Actually, she is doing that right now. She is always responsive, even during the last few months when dealing with a serious medical issue of her family member.......sometimes even from the hospital which is located out-of-state. She is professional, and a real force to be reckoned with in court. Jozefa understands that it is hard going through a custody battle. She is accommodating and compassionate, but makes you understand that you need to look past your emotions in order to focus on the things that will win your case. Sometimes I didn't want to hear it, but I listened to her and I am so glad that I did. Prior to the custody battle a couple months ago, my time with my son was rather limited. It is hard going through a custody battle as a man. You are told that there is no gender bias in court, but it is hard to believe that it doesn't actually end up that way. I can tell you that Jozefa was right. I never really thought that I would have so much significant time with my son but now I do. Jozefa made sure I was treated fair, and thanks to Jozefa now my son actually spends significant time with my side family too, who live a few hours away!!!! He finally got to spend a few weeks this summer with his grandparents!! Anybody who thinks back knows spending time with grandma and grandpa are some of the best times of your early life. Thanks to Jozefa, not only does my son have great memories of me that keep on accumulating, but he has memories of my family that will help shape him into a fine young man. Thank you, Jozefa. You're the best.

I have personally known Jozefa since 1989, she was the Godsend I didn't even know I needed at the time. Thank God she went to Law school. She is my personal Olivia Pope. My son in law is suing my daughter for Child Custody. Lets just say its a messy mess, Jozefa, starts making order and sense of it... counsels my daughter. We are in the midst of it. Jozefa will leave no stone unturned will not waste your time or money charging you for things that aren't necessary. She's bright, super smart, funny, cunning would not want to be on the receiving end. She fights hard for her clients. Very well spoken, comfortable in tight spots, she is Olivia Pope. I can't help but compare her to the lead character in Scandal, but Jozefa definitely reminds me of her. I love this Woman, she's my hero. She did a Bankruptcy for us years ago she did a super job. Jozefa I'm glad I met you you are a great person, friend, a major asset to Legal Community, a Top Gun who gets results for her clients. Thank you Jozefa

I originally hired Jozefa a year ago for child custody and have re-hired her a little over a month ago. I have been dealing with a very challenging child custody situation for 13 yrs. I have hired other attorneys in the past and was displeased with their apathy, lack of work on my case and and gros...s over-charging methods. I was shocked at how reasonable Jozefa's rates are. She charged me HALF of what another attorney charged me TEN years ago, when I first had to go to court for conferences. Jozefa has a heart for children. She is a true advocate and cares very deeply for the children and what they are going through. She fought my case with integrity, grace and energy! She was prepared far more than any other attorney I have ever seen. She knew my case from memory and presented very strong every time we went to court. She was very good about getting back to me quickly with answers to my questions, and guiding me through the court process. I read these reviews before I met her. I am glad I ignored the ONE negative review. The fact that there were inconsistencies in that negative review, made me question the validity of the complaint. Jozefa does not deserve that nasty review. It certainly was not MY experience or that of others whom I have talked to that hired her. She came highly recommended to me as well. Her main goal is the children, protecting them and fighting for their rights. That was my focus as well, so she was the right attorney for me!! My family and I will ALWAYS be thankful for what she did for us. I am so thankful to have met her and highly recommend her!
