Melissa Anne Jabour

I am member of the Saxton & Stump Healthcare Litigation and Commercial Litigation groups in the firm’s Lancaster office. I represent healthcare providers and systems, medical professionals, insurance companies and other healthcare entities in medical malpractice cases. I have the unique perspective of working the first 10 years of my career on the plaintiff side of medical malpractice and medical devices cases, but now use my experience to defend my clients. I was a partner at another Lancaster firm, where I developed experience in strategizing and analyzing cases, drafting pleadings, preparing witnesses, assisting with arbitrations and mediations, handling negotiations and efficiently managing staff.
I also have worked pro bono with the Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center, where I helped immigrant domestic violence victims reach protected immigration status in the federal U Visa program. I’m on the board of directors at Lancaster Dollars for Higher Learning, an organization that provides interest-free loans to Lancaster County students in support of their post-secondary goals.
I am licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
I graduated magna cum laude from the Temple University Beasley School of Law and also graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, where I earned my undergraduate degree. I’m also the current vice chair of the Lancaster Bar Association Professionalism and Ethics Section.
