Carrie E. Evans, Esq. focuses her practice in Title IX investigations and compliance and is a member of the firm’s Internal Investigations and Healthcare Litigation and Mitigation groups. Carrie served as a law clerk for the Hon. Lawrence F. Stengel (Ret.), U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, who now leads the Internal Investigations and Title IX practices at Saxton & Stump. During this clerkship, she handled a wide array of civil and criminal cases that involved U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) drug marketing and patenting regulations, antitrust actions, copyright and licensing disputes and employment discrimination claims. She also previously served as an assistant defender for the Defender Association of Philadelphia and then the County of Lancaster Office of the Public Defender. In both offices, she represented indigent clients charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses from charging to trial.
She graduated from Middlebury College with a degree in political science and from Cornell Law School, where she served as a managing editor for the Cornell Law School Legal Information Institute and an editor for the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy. She also served as vice president of the Public Interest Law Union. Carrie was the recipient of the CALI Award for Criminal Defense and the Seymour Herzog Memorial Prize, which recognize students who demonstrate excellence in the law and commitment to public interest.
