Barry G. Goldman, Esq., received his B.A. in Political Science from Vassar College in 1985 and his Juris Doctor from Pace University School of Law in West Chester, New York in 1988.
Barry G. Goldman, Esq., began his practice of law in 1988 criminal defense litigation with the Criminal Defense division of the Brooklyn, New York, Legal Aid Society. He has litigated significant criminal cases in numerous venues for 25 years, including death penalty homicides for which he is certified under Pennsylvania law. He is also licensed to practice in Federal District Courts. During his tenure in Pennsylvania he has handled complex criminal cases in Lancaster County and other counties including Berks, Chester, York, Dauphin, Cumberland and Lebanon counties.

Hmmm nope
Tried to talk to this guy about my case. He didn't really listen to what I was saying. He seemed more rushed than anything. If you rush my consultation then you'll probably rush my case, possibly make a mistake, lose my case and who cares because he still gets paid. Told me he tried a case like mine ...

Replied last December 27, 2016Because this person did not name themselves I can only respond by memory, but my recollection clearly is this person called me on the telephone and I spoke to him/her freely and without charge for half-an-hour, during which time I did my best to elicit as much information as possible and formulate responses thereto based on what he/she told me. He/she NEVER met with me in person and he appeared to be hoping for answers he/she wanted to hear rather than objective legal advice. I am quite certain I offered to represent him/her which would have lead to a much more thorough evaluation, but apparently he/she chose to go in a different direction. I don't have a problem with that, but the review is factually incorrect, as is the impression he/she was being rushed. When you seek free advice over the telephone you are lucky to speak to an attorney at all. For the record, if you haven't tried cases and lost you haven't been a defense attorney very long. Since this person got the benefit of free advice over the phone he/she has no reason to complain. As I told AVVO, this person was never a "client" and never had a"consult". He was looking for free advice over the phone, which he got, but apparently believes he deserved even more without being willing to come in, sit down, pay for an actual consult, and learn. He is free to choose any counsel he wishes, but I am guessing he talked to every lawyer in the county until he found someone who would say what he wanted to hear. Since we don't know how his case turned out I suggest you take this review with a grain of salt....
