OUTCOME: Charges For Indecent Exposure Dropped For Client.

Malibu, CA - Client was accused of indecent exposure and faced misdemeanor conviction, as well as having to register as a sex offender. According to my client, he was “going through a rough time,” and ... he wanted to take some “art photos.” The client lives in an apartment complex. The witness said he saw my client walk up a hill, throw a rope around a branch, put a noose around his neck, and it looked like he was trying to hang himself. The witness called 911, cops came, and my client had already started his way down the hill. As officers were speaking to him, one of the officers (without asking) picks up a camera that my client had on his person, started looking through photos, and sees photos of my client's genitalia that looks like were taken on the hill. I was able to get the case dismissed due to unlawful search.

OUTCOME: No Jail and Saved Driver's License For Client Facing Felony Assault With A Deadly Weapon Charges.

San Fernando, CA - My client was accused of felony assault on non-duty police officer with weapon (a car) with force likely to cause great bodily injury. My client faced prison and lifetime ban on a li ... cense. We went to jury trial, highlighted that the victim’s multiple accounts of the story made my client's actions seem worse and more exaggerated every time he told it. Jury was hung, settled for a felony assault with a deadly weapon, saved his license, and my client did community service.

OUTCOME: Client Found NOT Guilty of DUI.

My client was accused of 2nd DUI and faced jail time. He was found on the side of the road in car by himself. Allegedly admitted to driving to officer. He went to jury trial, and he was able to prod ... uce a witness who said saw him leave the party sitting in passenger seat of car; someone else was driving. The car was located close to where party was. My client testified (in Spanish) that someone else was driving, and then the driver changed his mind and left my client at the side of the road where my client fell asleep until the officer came. The officer spoke English, and my client mistakenly said that he was driving when he wasn’t since he didn’t understand what the officer was saying. Case hung 10-2 not guilty, settled.

OUTCOME: Felony Cocaine Charges Dismissed For Client.

Client was stopped with felony possession of cocaine. Faced possible felony conviction. I did a motion to suppress evidence. The stop was based on a minor infraction, “being in the middle of a roadwa ... y OUTSIDE of a business or residential district.” Essentially jaywalking. However, the area he stopped in was INSIDE of a residential district, therefore, the stop was illegal. Ended up doing a lot of research on case law and wrote a long motion, I essentially forced the judge to grant the motion, case was dismissed.
