Farley Holt is amazing

My attorney for years was Mr. Wolfson who has been retired now for years. He was an amazing attorney also. He cared, when I worked with him it was about children and he knew they were in a bad situation and he poured himself into helping to get them to a better place. He was a very intelligent man... who had many years under his belt and we fought and we won. Now he is getting ready to retire and along came Farley. He was impressed with him but he was winding down and this young lawyer was just getting warmed up. A friend of mine ended up in a horrible situation and it seemed to me they had him convicted before he even went to trial. I called Mr. Wolfson and explained the entire situation and asked him, Mr. Wolfson if this were your friend in this situation what would you do? Who would you call and he told me if it were him he would call Farley Holt. That's what we did. I saw earlier where people comment they felt he wasn't paying attention, did write things down etc. I felt that way too a bit. But I trusted Mr. Wolfson's wisdom and knew he would never steer me in the wrong direction. These kind of trials take a year or two to begin and when it's your life on the line it somewhat like torture. We also didn't Farley that often and of course worried to death how he would ever remember all of the names we gave him, the details etc...Finally the day came. A courtroom, judge and the jury all in itself is scary but it quickly became clear to us that Farley was in his element. Those names we thought he never really heard were both subpoenaed and didn't show up. He stopped the trial and had sheriffs drag them out of their beds and bring them in to face the jury. It truly was amazing. My friend was fearful but yet angry being drug through this mess for 2 years when he truly was innocent. While he was on the stand Farley spoke to him in a quiet and gentle voice. Allowed the man to tell his truth and he did great. We left the courthouse and walked back to his office and you ask, what do you think??? He told us with a jury you just really never know but now I'm going home to sit in my office and write my closing argument and do my best to save this man's life. A tense and sleepless night. Next morning we showed up again. Poor Farley's little girl had been ill that night and I had to wipe his suit where she had been laying on his shoulder. They do their closings and now, you wait....a very long and painful wait. Finally its time, we go in and he has to stand up while they read the verdict of 17 charges, one at a time. 16 Not Guilty and 1 guilty. Lord, I would not wish that on anyone, but if you ever would find yourself in that position I will give you the same advice. Call Farley. A friend of mine is an anesthesiologist and he had the same skills like Farley. He could go to a lecture in his 14th yr of Dr. school and use a note card, one side to take notes and pull off an A every time. He is listening, he cares and he's a fighter. I know one thing for sure I would never want to be on the other side of him because in my eyes he is a master at what he does. He saves lives too. This same friend is now suffering with Cancer and I've gotten to know Farley over the years and as we walk through this part of life he has been nothing but kind and helpful as we try to maneuver through the end of life issues. I am now 64 yrs old and I can tell you there is nothing much scarier in this life than being accused, jailed and put on trial for your life when you are innocent. My best advice is stay out of the York County Court System but life happens and if you find yourself there call Mr. Holt. He may not win them all but I promise you he will fight with all he has for you and I don't know what more you could ask for. I feel blessed and privileged to have had the pleasure to know him.

The worst Lawyer I had the experience of trusting with my divorce

Mr. Holt did not put the time in to knowing everything about my case nor was he properly keeping up with what was going on during my court hearings, failing to do so.. I was being poorly informed of the changes realted with my case, some informatin I wasn't aware of until after my case was closed. I ...am upset with the fact that I was asked by Mr. Holt this question "What do you want to do?" A. I couldn't understand why I was in court during this time... My Mom was on her death bed. I asked him to change the date, but he choose not to do so. I was beside my Mom everyday up to the point to where I had to go to this court hearing... which was only for a Divorce. That morning after court I received a phone call that Mom had passed that morning. I will never forgive him for taking me away from my Mom's final moments. B. When I was in this hearing, Mr. Holt himself wasn't there for me. He was texting on his phone, as he always does and he didn't know much about my case.. keep in mind I couldn't afford another lawyer.. I tried but there was no way of affording her.. Everything I asked of him, I learned he did not do for me C. I was not emotionally there and shouldn't have been there. What happenned? After being asked the question of "What do I want to do?" I replied with I don't understand what's going on, I was upset about being away from my Mom.. All I wanted was to rush back to her...which was 50 miles away. My hands trembled and Mom weighed heavy on my heart..I signed the divorce papers, while saying, I just want to get back to Mom... Don't take me wron, I learned after awhile that.... this hearing wasn't about going over details it was about my signing the divorce papers. I just wan't aware of all that I was signing away on. Mr. Holt changed my life that day... I have been even more depressed and will never recover... because of the fact that I have to live with not being there with Mom when she took her last breath. As for the divorce, I signed away my rights to what I should have been entitled to. But that's fine. however I am not fine with the fact that I was not told of the changes made about my daughter's visitations with her father. I have fallen ill, it is difficult for me to drive the 100 miles back and forth to pick my daughter up after her father''s visits... Again I was not aware of this.. I contacted his office after some conflict with my x husband over this issue. I was told that yes, I have to pick her up. I can not afford another Lawyer to have this changed for that matter I don't even know if this can be changed. It has been a battle for me to say the least. My first day of having to pick her up I hadd to call the police because I was early.. I learned that day that my time to pick her p is at 7.p.m My daughter and I have to drive over an hour and she has school the next morning. I was told by my x husband that if I took her early that I would be paying for his lawyer fees and that he would get me for contempt of court. where he was having a drinking party with his friends during a Ravens game and she wasn't with him for the first two days of that visit. and continues to cancel her visits when he doen't want to visit with her, and most of his visits he puts myself and family down.. I had to go pick her up because she was so upset because of his being rude or she is bored because he doen't take the time for her. As of now he said I can pick her up anytime.. Bu being ill, my x husband doesn't want to hear this.. stating he would let me get away with picking her up during one visit after that he wasn't going to allow this to happen again. And he hasn't. Mr. Holt should take the time to keep up to date and represent his clients propeerly, not poorly.
