Glenn John Smith

Glenn J. Smith has built his career upon positive impact, integrity, and service to his clients and community.

Over his 25 year legal career, Glenn has forged a diverse career in Pennsylvania and Maryland, having served as the chief legal advisor and general counsel for York County, an assistant District Attorney, a Special Assistant United States Attorney, solicitor for a number of municipalities, authorities, and local officials, as well as the solicitor for the Pennsylvania State Mayor's Association, representing mayors across the commonwealth.

Glenn also played a significant role in the revitalization of York City, volunteering, representing, and fostering the creation and growth of small businesses. As a result of his dedication, Glenn was the driving force behind his firm being recognized by Downtown, Inc. as the Downtown First Awards Large Business of the Year in 2014. In 2015, Glenn was recognized individually for his continued efforts as the Downtown First Awards Individual of the Year.

Glenn positively contributes to his community through the York County Bar Association, where his peers elected him to serve as a director and a member of the executive committee. In 2025, Glenn was named Outstanding Member of the Year and in 2026 will become Chair-Elect of the Bar Association.

With a passion for economic development and tourism, Glenn currently serves as the Chair of Explore York! (formally the York County Convention and Visitor's Bureau) and is a past director and executive committee member for the York County Economic Alliance.

Glenn has also served as a former director and Past-Chair of Creative York, a director of the Rotary Club of York, the 25th largest club in the world, and the founding President of the Exchange Club of Gettysburg. Glenn was nominated for Appointed Official of the Year in 2018.
