I have been working with David for a little over 3yrs now. He has helped me with a divorce and child custody proceedings. David is very thorough and well versed with family law. We have been through two custody cases and a divorce. Both custody cases, David helped me come out on top. He helped w...alk me through the divorce proceedings to a fair and somewhat even compromise with my ex-wife. He will not sugar coat anything and will give you the facts straight. He will set reasonable expectations and give useful advice. He is a seasoned lawyer with the experience to handle pretty much anything that is thrown at him in court, whether it is coming from the judge or opposing party. I would hire David again if his services are needed in the future. I would also recommend him to anyone in need of a lawyer of his caliber and attention to detail.

I chose Attorney David Schanbacher immediately at our initial meeting, after interviewing other attorneys (from references I received) for my divorce. I knew the separation and divorce would be incredibly complicated and felt he would be extremely capable in providing me with excellent counsel. Aft...er a long and complex process, including major preparations and presentations, working with a forensic accounting consultant, and days in court, his representation of my state off affairs resulted in a positive resolution in my favor. I would and will always highly recommend Attorney Schanbacher to anyone who needs the expertise of a very qualified attorney with family court needs.

Hired him for my divorce. Definitely laid it on thick when first met him. Provided him with detailed and organized information. Paid him considerably to review information and to be prepared. None of that happened. He was so disorganized and unprepared in court. I found times where I had to bring inf...ormation to court that he already had, but wasn’t prepared with. He still fumbled through and couldn’t present case. Pretty embarrassing. I give you one example of many. We had to go in front of divorce master. Both parties had appraisals done. One item a four wheeler was appraised $1600.00 of any book value. I pointed this out to Dave way before meeting to submit for evidence. He said just bring to meeting. Needless to say divorce master wouldn’t except it because it wasn’t submitted for evidence. Thanks Dave you just cost me $1600. This is just one of many mistakes. I really considered firing him, but at the time I couldn’t afford another retainer. Believe me I checked with other lawyers. When I told them what was going on, they just shook their heads. I hope someone who reads this,learns from my mistake. Looks somewhere else. I will say this about Dave, he’s a shark when he’s trying to get more money from you. Too bad it doesn’t follow into court. Sad display for a lawyer claiming to have all this experience. Good luck.
