Craig Scott Sharnetzka

Craig Sharnetzka focuses his practice in the areas of municipal law, realestate, bankruptcy and estate planning and administration.  He is a shareholder with CGA Law Firmand currently chairs the firm’s municipal law department.

Through his municipal law practice, Craigrepresents a number of municipalities in the capacity of solicitor.  He routinely drafts ordinances, resolutions,contracts and advises council members and elected and appointed officials andemployees in matters such as open meeting laws, planning, zoning, and otherland use issues, economic development, personnel, capacity and other matters.

Craig’s bankruptcy practice serves the needs ofboth consumer and corporate clients.  He hasexperience in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy filings.  As for consumers facing financial hardship,not only can he help you file for bankruptcy but he is experienced innegotiating with creditors; reinstating or preventing foreclosures andrepossessions; resolving credit, credit report and debt collection disputes anddrafting and reviewing credit documents. For companies facing financial distress and potential default, Craigcounsels them in remaining operational, while pursuing the most prudent strategyfor reorganization or disposition of assets. 

He also represents the interests of creditors’ inbankruptcy proceedings.  He isexperienced in debt collection techniques and has enjoyed tremendous success incollecting both secured and unsecured debts through use of legal means,including liens, structured repayments and litigation, when necessary. 

Additionally, Craig is able to draw upon theexperience of other attorneys in CGA Law Firm, weaving together integratedclient service teams that can bring business, commercial, tax, employment andlitigation experience to bear for his clients.
