When he arrived on the scene, which was less than ... a mile from their home, there were several by-standers standing by the vehicle but none of them were rendering aid. In an effort to help his fiancée my client pushed past by-standers. One of them turned out to be a volunteer fireman who had told her, "I can't help you because I don't have any gloves." When the fireman became irate, my client tried to explain the situation and even offered to apologize. The fireman demanded that the officers who arrived on the scene charge my client with Assault On A Government Official, a class A1 misdemeanor punishable by up to 150 days in jail.
