Michael Jonathan Toms

Mike Toms was a HORRIBLE public defender for us. It took over 2 weeks and 7 phone calls before he would return my calls. When he did return my calls, he admited that he received all my messages but didnt' know any new information about our case so he didn't call me back. He basically told me that he ...only called me back because I left so many messages. He did not take the initiative on anything to do with our case except for asking for a continuance without even consulting us. We DID NOT want a continuance. He was waiting for the probation department to let him know when the hearing was scheduled next. He did not look into finding out any information even after receiving my 7 calls. I had to actually ask him to call the probation department in order to find out more information. Overall he was not knowledgeable with the details surrounding our case. He did not keep us informed at all. He was very unresponsive and did not consult us when necessary. I HIGHLY do not recommend this attorney. I will be contacting his supervisor.
