Defendant defamed Plaintiff through Internet postings stating that Plaintiff was "crooked" and "filed false reports" in her work as a government official. After receiving Plaintiff's cease and desist ... letter Defendant continued similar postings. Defendant erroneously believed he had covered his tracks by purchasing a fraudulent e-mail address that appeared to belong to Plaiantiff's employer. Plaintiff was vindicated by an internal investigation. She had to make safer provisions for child care and better secure her property and family.
