A Lucas County jury acquitted an Oregon man accused of sexually assaulting a woman in September at an East Toledo residence. Roy Doss, 30, was indicted by a Lucas County grand jury on Sept. 20 on ch ... arges of rape, domestic violence, and kidnapping. A jury heard four days of testimony and evidence last week, including 911 calls and accounts from a woman and a nurse who performed an exam on her. Mr. Doss also testified, stating he had consensual sex with the woman. No DNA evidence linked him to the incident, a DNA expert from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation testified. The jury returned the not guilty verdicts on all charges on Friday. Judge Lindsay Navarre oversaw the case.
