This case against the Roman Catholic Diocese of Nashville alleged outrageous conduct of the Diocese concerning its conduct after it became aware that a priest had sexually abused young men. The case ... was originally dismissed by the trial judge, but the Tennessee Supreme Court said that the abuse victims had stated a valid legal claim against the Diocese. The decision of the TSC is reported at 154 S.W.3d 22 (Tenn. 2005). The decision may be found on Google Scholar - the allegations and legal theory are explained in more detail in this opinion.
