OUTCOME: Favorable ruling for my client
This was a workers' compensation appeal in which an unfavorable ruling concerning jurisdiction was reversed by the Tennessee Supreme Court Workers' Compensation Panel.
OUTCOME: Successful reversal of the trial court's ruling on fraud; affirmed in part and reversed in part
We appealed the trial court's ruling that the defendants did not commit fraud. The Tennessee Court of Appeals agreed with our position and found the defendants had committed fraud against our client.
OUTCOME: Favorable ruling for my clients
This case resulted in a favorable decision by the Tennessee Supreme Court for my clients. I represented the Wilson family on appeal. The trial court had denied the intervening petition of the appellant ... . The Court of Appeals affirmed the trial court's judgment, but made an erroneous decision in how it classified my clients' interests in the subject property. On appeal, the Tennessee Supreme Court reversed the erroneous ruling of the Court of Appeals and found in favor of my clients' position. The Supreme Court also denied the appellant's petition to rehear.
