Michael D. Pipa

Mike is a trial lawyer with over 30 years of defending medical professionals in the county and federal courts throughout Pennsylvania. He is recognized in the 2024 edition of Best Layers in America. Mike consistently obtains defense verdicts in cases involving many different medical specialties and issues ranging from significant birth injury to neurologic injury, adverse surgical outcomes, and alleged errors in diagnosis.  Mike’s goal is to ensure that you and your practice can thrive with minimal interruption in the new healthcare landscape.  He handles each case strategically and takes time to learn and match your unique professional and legal interests to the individual case circumstances.

Mike and his team utilize advance digital technology to simplify medical concepts for jurors, including computer simulations, animations, and medical illustrations. 

Before law school, Mike earned a Bachelor of Engineering Science degree, with honors, from Lafayette College and worked with General Electric’s Motor Business Group.  He earned his law degree from the George Washington University School of Law, with honors, where he studied trial practice and was a member of the Moot Court Team and the George Washington Law Review.
