During initial consultation, attorney Baker stated she handled all types of divorce cases. However, when my case became difficult due to a contentious opposition attorney, she "suggested" that I seek another attorney. In an email, she clearly stated to me that at her point in her practice she was n...o longer interested in difficult cases. Frankly, I think she misrepresented herself and for that reason I rate her credibility and trustworthiness as poor. Also, she suggested that I accept a consent decree concerning contact with my spouse. When I violated that agreement and was threatened with what had become a criminal matter, she informed me that she did not handle criminal matters and told me to find another attorney for this. When I asked for a referral, she could not provide one. If she could not fully represent me in this part of my case then she should not have suggested that I enter into an agreement with potential criminal consequences.
