We actually used Olivia for multiple cases. She handled my fathers workman comp case and his disability case. She is extremely knowledgeable. Her and her team were very nice and explained everything thoroughly. They were quick to respond to any emails or calls. The communication with them was excelle...nt. We never had to wonder what was going on because they always called with updates even if it was just that they were still waiting to hear back. She still responds quickly to any questions we have that might impact my fathers disability and both of our cases are complete. She fought hard to get my father a fair settlement for his workman's comp and made sure she was in constant contact with my dads disability caseworker. After independantly applying for and being denied for social security disability, I consulted with the attorney and hired her for representation during the Appeal process. She was very professional, well educated about the requirements to proceed forward and more then prepared when time came to pres...ent the case. She had no problems communicating throughout the entire process (ex. Consultation, Footwork, Obtaining Records, Follow Up Appointments, Appeal Hearing, Follow Determination..). She went above and beyond. I couldn't have asked for better Legal Representation. The Appeal was determined to be found in my favor.

I tried a well-advertised SSD "TV Law Firm" and they signed me as a client and filed an appeal for me,  but didn't have a lawyer even GLANCE at my file until we waited two years and ODAR gave us a hearing date with the Judge.  I got a phone call from someone at "my TV law firm" that I won't name  (I ...hear the big ones are all about the same) and he said that a "senior attorney at their firm has reviewed my case and has decided not to take it", and asked me if there was "anything else that I needed help with".  What an empty offer.   Anyway, the TV guys left me in the cold just two months before my hearing.  I decided I had to go local in the Harrisburg area.  I tried "The eights", I tried "The sevens" and others.  They had me leave a copy of my file with reception and was lucky to even get a call or letter of refusal.  And THEN I called Shollenberger, Januzzi and Wolfe and spoke to Lawyer Olivia Bort, who asked me several questions about my case and had me come in right away with my paperwork.   I didn't know it was possible but Miss Bort helped me turn my shoebox full of paperwork into the slam dunk case that other firms expect to fall into their laps.  Olivia was very nice and had a demeanor that put me at ease, and she was incredible in court, winning the case with one critical question and a softly spoken "I have no further questions".  We knew we won as we left the building and complimented each other for our performances at the hearing.
