Kara Katherine Gendron

Kara Gendron is an owner of Mott & Gendron Law and has been practicing bankruptcy law exclusively since 2001.  She focuses her practice on representing individuals, farmers, and small business owners in bankruptcy cases.

She was the youngest attorney in the United States to become board certified in consumer bankruptcy law by the American Board of Certification. Kara received her undergraudate degree from from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA and her Juris Doctor from The Dickinson School of Law in Carlisle, PA.  She lives in Central Pennsylvania with her husband, four children, and assorted pets, including dogs, goats, and chickens.

Kara is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA) where she currently serves as the 3rd Circuit Community Leader, a Director of the Pennsylvania Middle District Bankruptcy Bar Association (MDBBA), and past President of the MDBBA and has written for the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) Consumer Bankruptcy Newsletter. She is a bankruptcy court certified mediator and taught bankruptcy law for several years at the Widener School of Law while maintaining her full time private practice. Kara is well known for her pro bono work and is a frequent course planner and presenter for local and national bankruptcy law seminars and webinars, including NACBA, PBI and the MDBBA.

She is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States of America.
