OUTCOME: Jury verdict in favor of Plaintiff

Plaintiff, a commercial property owner, sustained significant damages to several apartment buildings due to vandalism and theft. The insurer, Erie, contended that Plaintiff was not an insured under th ... e policy and furthermore that no covered loss had occurred. Erie therefore denied Plaintiff's claims and offered a settlement of approximately $20,000, this to avoid further "nuisance" and cost to the insurance company. After a jury trial handled by Josh Jenne however, Erie was ultimately required to pay to Plaintiff over $2 million.
