Melissa Lynn Kelso

Melissa serves as the Managing Member of Kelso Law, LLC. She focuses her practice in the areas of: Civil Litigation; Labor and Employment; Municipal Law; Business and Commercial Transactions; and Real Estate. She strives to provide her business and individual clients with efficient, competent, and responsive legal representation. Melissa, a Scranton native, graduated from King’s College in 2006, with a B.A. in Political Science. After obtaining her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2009, she relocated to Carlisle with her husband, Jason. She then gained invaluable experience clerking for Judge Louis J. Farina at the Court of Common Pleas of Lancaster County for two years before taking a position with a large firm in Harrisburg. Most recently, prior to opening Kelso Law, LLC, Melissa represented numerous business and municipal clients at a regional private firm. Along the way, she continually learned from these varying experiencing, honing her abilities to effectively represent her clients both inside and outside the courtroom. Melissa currently resides in Carlisle with her husband, daughter and two dogs, where she remains active in the community and committed to her practice. She is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Federal Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania, and the Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. She is also accredited with the U.S. Department of Veterans’ Affairs. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Associationand the Cumberland County Bar Association.
