Stephen Howard

Stephen’s practice focuses primarily on sales and use, property, and corporate taxes. Stephen has worked on projects involving various business areas such as the food production, telecommunications, technology, construction, restaurant, and healthcare industries.

While in law school, Stephen served as a Comments Editor for the Penn State Law Review. As a captain of the law school’s National Trial Team, Stephen participated in the 2018 National Trial Competition and was selected for membership in the Order of Barristers, a national honor society that recognizes students who demonstrate exceptional skill in courtroom advocacy. Stephen was named a Miller Center Public Interest Advocate in recognition of his considerable pro bono legal work while in law school. Upon graduation, Stephen received the Joseph Leyburn Kreamer Award, which recognizes a student who has demonstrated academic excellence, strict ethical standards, and fidelity to other students and the profession.

Prior to joining Van Allen LLC, Stephen gained valuable experience as a judicial intern for the Honorable Jessica E. Brewbaker of the Cumberland County Court of Common Pleas.

Stephen graduated from North Greenville University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. While at North Greenville, Stephen was twice named a member of the NCAA Conference Carolinas Men’s Indoor Track and Field Academic All-Conference Team.
