Client was injured at work when she was offloading stacked boxes on a factory line. She injured her shoulder, neck, and also had developed severe carpal tunnel syndrome in both arms after years of wor ... k on a line. Her employer denied that she was injured. Client's doctors, on the other hand, performed diagnostic testing that revealed severe carpal tunnel syndrome in both arms, in addition to, tendonitis and bursitis in her shoulder. Additionally, her doctors found clinical evidence of cervical radiculopathy. After a trial, the judge awarded Client past unpaid medical benefits, past unpaid temporary disability benefits, and permanent future disability benefits. The employer and its insurance company appealed to the Tennessee Supreme Court. However, before the Court heard the appeal, the case was resolved by settlement.
